The tale about Ketch Secor of Old Crow Medicine Show picking up the pieces of an unfinished Bob Dylan song and making it iconic is true. Here’s a recording of Dylan working the outline during the 1973 sessions for the soundtrack of “Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid.” A bit reminiscent of The Beatles’ “Get Back” sessions.
