vMake Music Day 2025
Make Music Day (est. 1982 in France) is an annual celebration on June 21, summer solstice. Millions of musicians of all ages and skill levels perform music in many different styles to spread joy through free music lessons, jam sessions, and concerts. A global event, Make Music Day, occurs in 2,000 cities and over 120 countries.
Raleigh Uke Jam has participated in Make Music Day for the past 7 years, and the past three years has given a one-hour performance at the Oberlin Regional Library. Additionally, this year RUJ member, George Douglas, gave a harmonica workshop at Azure Violin. And, Ukulele Band, Far From Done performed a three-hour concert on the Gizmo Brewery outdoor stage.
